While most noodle dishes are typically eaten hot, somen are specifically meant to be enjoyed cold. The stretched out thin form of somen noodles means that they can be more liberally coated in the flavoursome tsuyu dipping sauce than thicker noodle varieties.
How To Use
Enjoy these noodles cold and with fresh garnishes! • Add the noodles to 1L boiling water per 100g. • Cook for 2-3 mins, stirring constantly to prevent sticking. Do not add salt. • Remove with strainer and rinse under running cold water several times. Drain well. • Place cooled noodles in a bowl filled with cold water and ice. Pick and dip the noodle into some tasty tsuyu dipping sauce.
